Sole Representative Visa
A sole representative visa is for someone who intends to establish a wholly owned branch or subsidiary in the United Kingdom by the overseas company. The company cannot have any other branches or representative in the United Kingdom.
Applicants can establish a commercial presence for the company in the UK in the form of a registered branch or a wholly owned subsidiary, but may not do business of their own or represent any other company’s interests.
Sole Representative Visa applicants are allowed to work for their employer full time exclusively, meaning that no other work should be undertaken while under this visa class. Approved sole rep visa applicants can bring their family members to join them in the UK and both the main applicant and dependents are permitted to extend this visa numerous times.
Employees of foreign newspaper broadcast or news agency employees who are posted for long assignments in the United Kingdom are also eligible for the sole representative visa.
All sole rep visas need to be submitted from outside the UK, mostly from the home country of the applicant and they need to show that they have more than enough finances to support themselves and any family member dependents.
There are various pieces of evidence needed in a Sole Representative application and we are able to assist and guide in these types of applications.
In general initial duration of this visa is two years and provided that a successful extension application is made can be extended up to a maximum of 5 years.
